Emel is actually only a few years older than her. I was surprised cause I was like "How old is heeee?!?!??!" But he was 18 when he became her knight and I think she was 12 or 11. So it's not too bad. Plus you become an adult at 15 in their world and can even become engaged at 12. Which is actually on point for that time period in our own world. Though it's a little cringey. At least nothing even close happens until well after she becomes an adult by our standards.
