I think these two options are grossly simplified. The FL is a traumatized victim of grooming and the first 18 chapters depict her life before she reverted back in time (hence people giving this low ratings because they didn’t finish reading). However, the FL never went back to her abuser and was really quick on picking up changes in her current life.
Also, the silver haired man is NOT THE ML. The emperor with the red hair is and he never hurt her the same way the former did.

In my personal opinion, I think the flashback chapters give a lot more context as to why the characters behave the way they do in the current timeline. But I definitely understand where others are coming from since the flashbacks slow the plot down when we could’ve gotten new content.
