I've seen the spoilers and might drop this but not now. As the spoiler said the duke will kill his wife's brother but they just said that he will kill him, so what is the reason? They didn't tell the reason so I can't really judge for now. Just thinking that the duke still kill his brother-in-law despite knowing that his wife might be sad and resent him, he still did it. So, my point is there might be a valid reason(there must be because if not I will be the one to kill the duke). Her brother is just too precious to lose, he is the only family the fl had(except his husband and son). Her brother is kind and caring so I wish they will change that part

Aria's nameless father actually carries a royal blood so basically aria is also a royal blood and that would make up why the prince and aria who both carries a royal blood had a abilities. In ch 62 they'll show us the back of his father

I think the dad is a marquis or a count at first, but his dad (so aria’s granddad) is indeed a duke in a neighbouring country. Her hourglass ability comes from her dad’s mother (so her grandmother, also the current duchess in that neighbouring country) specifically!
If I remember well, Aria doesn’t have a drop of royal blood, it’s from her grandmother who had to get married to a royal in the country Aria lives in now. During the wedding ceremony of a member of the royal family, the partner that isn’t a royal has to drink water from a special pond in the castle. I think her grandmother was pregnant already or got pregnant by the duke around that time?
So Aria doesn’t have royal blood, but the pond water her grandmother drank granted them the possibility of having an ability.
This also explains why Aria has to sleep so much after using the hourglass: because she’s not a “pure” blood or whatever, the drawback is huge on her body.
*Also abilities are extremely rare, even among the royal family.
And if anyone wonders why the grandmother is now the duchess: her “cheating” was found out and she was cast aside along with her son.

The reason why Aria has her power (the hourglass) is because her father's mother used to be married into the royal family of the nation Aria lives in, I believe, but was shunned and kicked out because she had a son with another man (the son is Aria's father). In the duration of her stay with the royal family the mother actually ended up touching? drinking? the source of the powers the royal family has, which is a fountain of some type of holy water. Because of that Aria ended up with her power and is also why she could technically be considered "royal".
I'll probably somehow forgive the duke but that won't change anything 'cause he was such a dumb person who let her wife be lonely and get ill until she died amd he even stole her chance to be a mother. The one person who I definitely can't forgive is reina's father, even if he regrets everything he did to reina that would just bring me satisfaction but I will never forgive him, I hope he dies:)
