update i reread it yess, Claude's mom married to her lovers older brother which is the current duke. But claude is the child of his mother and her mothers lover (which is dukes younger brother). so in order for her and duke younger's brother to leave the country, they decide to ditch claude as the duke household need a heir. EVEN THO CLAUDE IS THEIR CHILD! what a selfish human being (︶︿︶)＝凸 idc if its said that claudes just following the novel storyline, but its being proved that the storyline doesn't matter as it can be changed
