The only reason the mc is feeling like this is bc he lived with him and since he was always looking out for him. Quite frankly the only person to ever care for him at all so he came to love him so to remember the past conflicts with the way he treated him in this life, but if he would’ve regressed with his memories intact he for sure would not have proceeded with the marriage arrangement, he would’ve known how much his adoptive family didn’t care for him so there was no reason for him to sacrifice himself for them and marry that guy. So now he’s stuck between the present good memories they had together and the past, but in my opinion I think this is one of those I will in time learn to forgive but I will not forget, I get that mc betrayed him but the ml really took things too far he should’ve just called off the marriage instead of making his life miserable to the point where he was sexually assaulted (unforgivable in my opinion). But I mean knowing how these stories go he’ll probably end up going back to him but still these are my opinions on this story, I just hope he has a happy life with whatever decision he takes
