Regarding the holy trial, its narration was ridiculous in the novel I hope orka changes the dialogues. It's as if the church decided to judge them without sufficient evidence. At first, they raise the accusation, and the church tries to manipulate the words to prove the charge. However, the emperor and the duke respond by saying their arguments are ridiculous, and Shuli and Jeremy deny the accusation. The church claims they have a witness, and Shuli’s mother enters the courtroom. She starts spouting nonsense, saying that she wants her daughter to repent for her sins and that Shuli has always been vain about her beauty, trying to seduce every man in front of her, even her stepson. Shuli argues with her, and a fight breaks out between them.
Shuli’s mother reveals that in the past, Shuli ran away from the marquis and returned begging not to come back, saying she was scared. Shuli thinks to herself that this is nonsense and that she would never return to her parents' house. But at the same time, she gets a headache. Stella continues spouting nonsense until Jeremy takes a sword from one of the knights and threatens her. In the end, Shuli demands a duel of honor to prove her chastity. Nora intervenes to be her knight and wins, thus proving her innocence.
