I'm siding with my boy secretary ha in this one. Like even when we ignore his reasons for not getting into a relationship with chowon which were really realistic and understandable. I've never seen him even slightly blush or state that he sees her romantically. All the while respectfully rejecting chowon every time she confessed. And I know chowon is not a bad person at all (yeah her crowd and reactions were questionable) but slightly annoying , I mean if i were in sec ha's position and someone adamantly kept asking me out even tho i rejected them i would be annoyed too. Maybe she's a rich girl who always got what she wanted and just doesn't know how to handle rejection. The situation is not even like both have mutual feelings but can't date because of some shit like we see in kdramas. Anyways even if they don't end up with each other and sec ha ends up rejecting her i wouldn't be angry at him

I mean obviously she'll consider anything you give her too extravagant and excessive like she was A SLAVE all her life what are y'all so surprised about. Isn't this the expected behaviour..? She's been trained to be like this so why is everyone so surprised about each and every single one of her humble reactions. It's not like they didn't know she wasn't a slave. Ffs

I agree but I do understand them... i think... from what I see slavery is strictly forbidden there so they don't really know, or rather, are not really used, to dealing with it or someone who went through it.
Think like this... you've heard of the scandal about child labor/slavery/inhuman work conditions involving cocoa production or some brands clothes/shoes right? You can try to imagine what they went through. But if one of those people were put in front of you you would be flustered while dealing with them because their common sense is different of yours.
It's not that they don't understand from where her humility comes from... but the sheer gravity or degree of it that is shocking. It's a level of humility they never witnessed (at least from someone they cared enough about) before...
Why is this little shit dragging kosair, the empress's family, into his own misshap. Like it's your fault mister and what in the world would the empress gain from appointing fake parents to YOUR mistress that further downs her claims as her being A SLAVE?
