
Realistically speaking as a woman in a monarchy she'd still never really have that much power to change things either, she is essentially an object to be married off to the man that will give her family a stronger, wealthier position. Monarch or not, women are being oppressed, tho idk if that's the case for her reality. It's admirable that she was able to see her privilege and the wrongdoings of her own family and the nature of the system she grew up in, atoning for sins that are not her own however is quite pitiful. She thinks that the source of his hatred towards her was exactly bcs of her birth origin, but she simply does not know that he is a person swallowed by his own obsession for her.
