I usually hate romance even alluded to in getting stronger stories like this but this one makes sense bc of his previous life and how her being an elf is integral not only to his mission but to how he was able to shape his view of “lesser beings”

Actually, I think there’s no one genuinely hate the romance in action story. It’s just depends on how the author make the romance actually make sense and not annoying I don’t hate romance in action story, IF the romance make sense and the FL actually have their own ‘foundation’, not only a character who blindly loves the MC suddenly and became a burden.
