Agreed. She hates the very thing she created. Kyoko's a sweetheart for thanking her but her success is her own. She became who she is despite Saena and Sho's abuse not because of. They may care, have reasons, etc but it wont change the fact they created an emotional scar and failed her. At least she got her closure.

Well I don't know, how I feel about Kyoko's mom anymore. At first I thought she was mean and unreasonable but after this current chapter I don't think she as bad as how we thought of her. If she was completely heartless than she wouldn't even talk to Kyoko in the first place. She wouldn't ask that Kyoko goes to school and especially not be angry when she found out that Kyoko and Shou were not lovers. Meh, she wouldn't even bother anwsering the phone when shou's mom call.... let alone keep her in the family register. I guess she really loved Kyoko's dad and his death was such a huge upset to her... that she got stuck and didn't know how to get out of it. I'm not saying its okay of her method but I could accept it better. I bet she abandon Kyoko thinking that it would be better off for Kyoko if she hadn't been her mother. Its not the best option she could've pick but at least it means she cares for Kyoko.

sorry but i disagree she's an adult and a parent even if she was devastated she's got do better that's a frickin' human child which is a really big responsibility .. but kyoko turned out really well so the mom got super lucky (it's a manga) but we see many cases like that in real life and the outcome is not pretty

well everything I say is a guess. but that's what it seems like. if he's not died than they must've split up and that's why or something but he wouldn't be any better for not taking care of Kyoko when she was a child (unless he doesn't know she was born)

Well I can see what you mean.
And I'm not saying that what she did was okay or anything. I just think that (personally) she's not as bad as I thought she was at first (if my guesses were correct). I do agree she fail as a parent and an adult (but I simply don't hate her as much as I did before, well I don't especially like her as a character or anything) but in real life as well, they are parents who leave their kids hoping that someone could take care of them better then themselves (because they can't one way or another)... what I was trying to prove about was that I don't think Kyoko's mom does have some regret (and she might just not know how to express them) not that she was a good person or anything... because I agree... she fails as a mother and an adult..... but I think she might not be as despicable as we think (which we'll find out eventually in the story how she really is)

yeah i get what you're saying at first it was blind hate for me but after this chapter i saw her perspective she wasn't strong enough not everybody is strong no one is perfect so now i just wish she could show remorse and step in in her life more i want her to interfere and support kyoko i don't despise her but i want her to change for the better

Yes, I agree. Nobody is prefect... and althrough we thought she was an extremely strong and coldness woman... now she seems more weak and pathetic. that's why I hope my guesses were right. I would rather have her as a weak and pathetic person than someone who shows no remorsement for what they done. Kyoko was amazing, for dealing it as she did (even tho she was freakin out!) If she is as heartless as we all assume at the beginning.. than I hope she realize that she has done wrong.

I think his father wasn't died yet. He could be taking advantage of Saena and then abandoned her. Saena came to hate herself because stupidly blindly loves a man, and got pregnant on top of that and because of it she can pursue a carreer and going through a lot of hardship to raise kyoko on her own. That's why she blame everything to Kyoko, thinking of her as nothing but burden, an obstacle. Saena has a high pride, she is smart and perfectionist, she think of kyoko as a black hole, a terrible existence that ruin her life. Maybe that's why she said to Lori is not possibble for her to love Kyoko.

It would ne easier to understand if the translation for the last few chapters was better. There are a lot of mistakes (including the wrong names for the yakuza gangs) that are confusing people.

Agree. The June translation is sometimes a little formal and awkward. This translation is more conversational.
