How I see it is that yuyu is really mentally sick and however nana tries yuyu won't even listen to her. It's not that nana is weak bc she obviously gets stronger but whatever she does or says it gets destroyed by yuyu and nana doesn't really have people [adults] she can confine in and that would even believe her so since she's still a kid it's like she's been trapped in this whole situation bc she can't just run away from yuyu and yuyu won't listen to nana bc she's literally sick in the head!
She's definitely trapped. Except she could tell her parents what's going on and switch schools if necessary. She could ask for their advice on how to handle it. She could recored all her conversations with Yuyu and show others how she lies and manipulates. She could learn how to play Yuyu's game and be AS manipulative.

me too i stopped after the competition arc it was the only good one after that it kinda got boring with the pets thieves

It has certainly slowed down a lot. There's too much talking and explaining, not enough Wang Lu being awesome. But I still find it interesting. I just adjusted my expectations of what the manga was.
