How old were Shin and Wolfgang in the first season? I'm guessing Shin was below 14 (because of the dialogues) but Idk—just found it weird that after Shin was touched inappropriately by the king, him and Wolfgang started making out. It is physically and mentally unbearable to see kids make out, especially after what Shin had gone through.
I see, but it seems you missed the whole point of why this happened. In addition to Shin depending emotionally of Wolfgang involuntarily because Wolfgang was the first to bring a new light of hope in his life, Shin was hoping for Wolfgang's feelings to also overflow and lead to marks of making out be on his body so he can be punished and discarded by the former king without being suspected of the whole plot for coup d'etat. He wanted to be in the shadows and pull the strings, and this offered a good enough way to be let go from a greedy pedophile who liked him best, be "defiled" be someone else.
As much as this scene was an indulgence to Shin who had to learn about sex and desire too early, and who did feel them towards Wolfgang unhealthily at the time, and as much as doing this was a big fuck you to the king for him, an act of rebellion for them both, it was also a calculated move on Shin's part.
What you should be sad and uncomfortable about isn't kids around similar ages making touches to each other, it's the fact one of them had to resort to that so he can run away from a predator, and that kids having emotions for each other was a taboo.
