To be honest it feels real how he got traumatised after ape cuz thats what happens and i think other works should potray ape more (if they really want to add) like this instead of making it "romantic". When crimes (blacmail, ape, assult, murder, basically any kind of stuff that authors use) are portrayed traumatic it makes story more relatable (understandable or whatever) also you can connect with the mc (im talking abt suha btw not this red head cuz his case is weird af) easier.
