Tell me exactly how she was supposed to speak up in that kind of a situation? Asian countries are very harsh when it comes to traditional mindsets. Having a child out of wedlock while being a teacher is an extreme no no in society. On top of that a powerful and rich parent who's husband donates God know how much money to the school storms the principal office and threatens to stop sending said money if they don't fire said teacher. You think that school will protect a teacher over their finances? Not to mention she was already warned once about disciplinary action being taken against her should any parents find out and begin calling for her resignation. Even the students badmouth and disrespect her once they learn the truth. The FL has NEVER had issues with speaking up for herself which we have seen and previous chapters and in this one. She basically told the parent to fuck off in the most polite way she could. And she did her best to try to save her job on her own. But when you're a normal person trying to fight against rich hierarchy the harsh sad reality is that you're going to lose. You need power and influence. You can speak up for yourself and push back all you want but in the end without those you wont get very far.
Damn, you really snapped and i love that. It’s true tho asian countries is so conservative compared to western countries. I think as readers it is important to take the cultural context and see it from another perspective as well.
