for the first 60 chapters all i thought was that seichi should pull a sangwoo move, when the story progresses to his adult years everything reminded me of punpun and all that depressing shit that i know i should not consume but i can't help not to, and this fucking manga had the audacity to have a happy ending?! that shit is the plot twist for me but good for u seichii really
most scenes made me exceptionally sad especially when child-seiko appeared goddamn that hit me HARD 1000/10 all in all a good read this author is definitely on some depressing crack, and he's also the author of my fav manga Happiness!!!! salute sir

Despite the "furry" image this has that hinder me to discuss this manga happily w/ my close ones (they just don't get it :p), it will always remain as one of my greatest reads! Just started it all over again and I was never bored. Truly a gem of characters and undertones!

I never get the furry hatred, it feels so selective, like we can't talk about this manga with our friends but in 2016 zootopia was the highest grossing movie of the year and people were all talking about how good it is. I don't get it tbh
Forreal. When I was reading this, the contradiction had never felt higher. People are so scared with being called a furry or a (whatever a person who likes animals is) that they can’t see past the fact that the characters are animals and read the plot and understand the story. Beastars has a lot of good plot and story that hits really deep. A lot of the great manga I’ve read I can’t talk about because they are slightly explicit or they have animals that are characters.
Yeah I feel u, just quick correction tho, a furry isn't someone that likes animals but someone that like anthropomorphic animals, as in animals with human sentience and personalities, humanized animals if u will.
That distinction is important bc a lot of people think furries wanna fuck real animals and that is a very wrong and misinformed take. There is a name for that and it's zoophiles and they got nothing to do with furries, in fact they should all be in prison
