Literally anyone who wanna defend a character uses the word "complex" and that's their entire personality. I can handle angst, I have read worse stories, and anyone can hate a character. We don't need bitches like you moral policing "complex characters". Don't hate him if you don't want to, don't whine about others. It's embarassing

Imagine being so selfish, you basically made your situation worse with bad decisions one after another and then abandon the child you brought into this world for years in the name of 'healing'. I never hated Hill until the latest chapter came out, and I can never forgive him. He had the opportunity to abort, but no, he had to give birth and then abandon.

Dude the father has been abusing mc and ruining the country, he had to go. The brother has been ruining mc while trying to "protect" him (he wasn't even listening to him) and abused + tried to kill ml because he marked mc (which, mind you, was the brother's own fault) so I'd say he very much deserved to be inprisoned. I'd say people have every right to dislike mc for abandoning ml and his own child after ml did nothing wrong. Just because he's a "complex character" as you say doesn't mean it's wrong to judge his actions.

Yeah actually what your saying makes sense. But*( two thought processes can exists at the same time )at the same time I think it's hard for people to visualize and empathize with abuse victims in this situation. Because when you've been abused for a long time you don't really have self esteem or confidence in your own actions. And you can't always be the perfect person/victim of abuse. Like this Mc never had good parents and even SEEN healthy relationships so how is he supposed to form healthy relationships with his own kid and Ml without patience. I think the ml is really patience and that's what victims need most. As when your in survival mode you choose the things that cause the least pain not what makes you thrive. So yeah I can see why people hate the Mc but
I think my gripe is with the people who want him to be a perfect victim essentially.
Like hes not gonna be a perfect partner or parent for a long time because he has his so much learning to do. And so when I see why some people hate him it's just disappointing and shallow.

Of course! And I also think that way, I just think it's more of a "the cause doesn't justify the actions" kind of situations. Like, I can see why he did it, but doesn't take off the fact he abandoned his own child. Still most characters from this manhua pissed me off except for the ml so I can't say my judgement might be the best lol
