I was extremely confused in the beginning, but it just became more clear as I continued reading how many things are wrong here. Do not normalize rape. I felt absolutely disgusting seeing a character have to go through man after man just because he’s a mage. Have you seen how mentally and physically exhausted he’s become? On top of this, the brother Rei loves his brother and it’s said that him and his brother even had sexual intercourse. Of course there’s incest in a manga with rape too. I love the friendship between the main relationship and their ending, but it doesn’t take something traumatic or horrible to take place for a healthy relationship to occur. Sorry to seem so critical, but so many parts of this manga keep me from enjoying it.
So first off, the translator really upsets me and the fact that they translate so poorly and use racist and offensive slurs/terms also makes the manga off-putting. I’m glad Naoko’s back now, but the fact that the doctor and Naoko have some feelings for each other bugs me too, sorry lol. He seems to be waaaaaay too old for her considering that she’s a high school student.
