it's true that maxi will have miscarriage during the war, then, riftan ask maxi to go back to the castle (maybe, I honestly don't remember much) , this is when her father take the chance to take maxi to his castle and abuse her because he was ashamed of her miscarriage. but fortunately, riftan came right at time..he save maxi and beat her father...from this point too the knights began to treat her kindly. about the conflict, what happened was maxi wanted to go to the magic tower (to learn magic I think) and she has to spent 3 years away from riftan..so riftan was really mad. if I'm not wrong, they reunite earlier becuz riftan save maxi from a monster, but he treat her coldly (because he's still wounded by the fact that maxi choose to learn rather than be with him)..but don't worry, riftan still care about her, even though he's still mad, he would give food to maxi..they will become a little awkward but they still love each other ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ sorry for my bad english
