Can someone explain to me why it’s wrong to upload the English version on here when it’s not originally in English. Like how else am I supposed to read it if not translated by a scan team. If there is a legal English version fine, but most aren’t so I’m just confused….
It’s cause the author can’t make money off of something that was not translated by the people in her company. So ppl not part of her company are translating her work without her permission and giving it to the public for free is wrong. I think this also violates a lot of copyright issues :/ *sigh*
Because it's *stealing*. Authors make money off views, likes and other interactions. We are not giving them that by reading illegally. I heard it's really easy to get free coins on Lezhin so there's no excuse to read it legally.

We are reading it free on a illegal website while we should be buying the chapters on the legal website and read it. Illegal websites gets 3 times more views because this most of the time it discourages the author to continue their work as well as put a lot of pressure on them.
That makes sense but if they’re not translating it in the first place it’s not a loss. I don’t think copyright is an issue because there is no profit to scan teams. I guess I just feel like it’s not fair to these sites because I wouldn’t be able to read it otherwise. Most authors aren’t famous enough to get a legal English edition and I just really love reading these.
I support on legal sites too. I’m just saying as a whole, if there is no English version other than scan team I don’t see the issue. I’m English, why would I pay for something that I couldn’t even read.

Yeah I mainly read from here cause WEBTOON is so slow when it comes to uploading and I’m not trynna pay to read ahead of everyone but I get it…it’s just sad to see all these Manhwas disappear
