idk how schools in other places are, but almost all of the classrooms in all the schools I’ve been to had cameras and if ts was pulled then the students would just get arrested

If my understanding is correct- society is already collapsing before the monsters appeared. There were pandemics, wars, starvation, and etc and it became more hell when the monsters came.
