Did I miss something? Why are people calling McQueen a rapist? Who did he rape?

i was confused about ryan and mcqueen's story and your explanation did help me understood the part roughly. but there are things i didnt quite catch up. i still dont understand what you meant by "ryan was one of the actual victims of the rapist". since ryan said mcqueen's company isnt any better than the company he was working with. so isnt the rapist mcqueen? and i also didnt understand why ryan hated him and felt protective of ed when ed said hes getting back with mcqueen. but still, i was lost and your explanation was helpful, i think im gonna reread that part again

from what i understood ryan implies that to get over being raped he did the film with mcqueen kinda like the expression you used one nail to take out another nail. mcqueen wasn't a rapist I think when ryan saying that mcqueen was no better he was probably referring to the romanticism mcqueen did about the serial rapist they did the film about. hope this made sense lolol ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I love it TT_TT Also, would you look at that? A perfectly good story where the seme is actually respectful and not rape-y. The uke is not stupid and does not have the social awareness of a 3 year old. And, most importantly, where the main characters actually know how to communicate and talk with each other. And they didn’t even have each other’s phone numbers! *mindblown*

I honestly wouldn’t be able to do what Itsuki did. Airi’s feelings for his brother are way too deep, and it’s not normal to be sexually attracted to a sibling you grew up with. Yes, he’s trying to move on, but would he ever be able to truly move on though? His situation isn’t similar to a person in love with someone and wanting to move on. He is in love with his own blood, and has been sexually attracted to him for years. There’s more to it than just simple “unrequited love.” There’s some deep and serious issues there.
I would run away from that in lightning speed if I was in Itsuki’s position. That’s a lot of future hurt and pain to take on.

....is such a mess I can’t. I wanna feel bad, but at the same time, he’s the one who got himself in all this mess. He sought out all the trouble he’s in. He knew Yuudai had feelings for someone else, but then he introduced that awful arrangement. Naturally he ended up getting his feelings hurt, so he tried to have sex with some random old dude.... and now he’s got one more problem to deal with. Sigh...

I see a lot of people complaining about things that 95% of BL mangas are about... Have y’all never read a Yaoi / shounen ai manga before? Like is this your first one?
I see people having issues with them being step bros. That’s probably one of the most overused plots in BL mangas.... how do you continuously read a genre that overwhelmingly has elements you have issues with?
I really don’t get it. Do you just continue reading Yaoi and then proceed to continue complaining about what you just read? That sounds exhausting.
I know it’s hard to be around someone you love if they’re with somebody else. I’ve been there before, so I can relate. But completely avoiding the person for years and then whoring yourself out to anyone is just doing too much. It’s such an extreme reaction. Go to a therapist, or a psychiatrist, you got issues way deeper than unrequited love.
