Isn't it wonderful and yet strange that we are all rooting for that pairing instead of the usual help with Princess Trope? I love love love that instead of trying to make the characters who just have, at first, plain features, develop into such strong independent characters. I love this story and it's breaking all kinds of tropes and expectations and I'm here for it. I know that Cinderella is a little bit clumsy and she doesn't know better but you can tell that she's trying and instead of being dismissed as being cute, they really want to help her become more than just a fairytale. The stepmother is my favorite. An independent single mother with three children. I love this I love everything about this. They need to make a movie about this
