ok looking back, i kind of understand yall. Cain was just a random foreign guy who declared love after being friends for like a month. and the whole time Jooin was just kinda going along with it because he was sad over his crush being an ass like i see how unreasonable it is to say jooin should date him lol. at least without necessary development and cain growing a personality more than his past life.
not that what they did with yahwis so called redemption is any better but like

yeah true i completely second tbe yahwi part, they never wemt on dates or actually talked to get to know one another, they never had one nice moment, his redemption was done very poorly, thete was no need of 40 chapters showcasing how jooin thinks yahwi never understood him and is too selfish and never thinks about jooins feelings until the very end of pre-timeskip, even jooin was like "he's selfish even now he only stopped cause his feelings were hurt" and none of it was resolved so far. none. that was all complete bs.
however cain was also basically a stranger, so i get that he didnt get with him. he at least took him on dates and considered his feelings all the time, he even left when he saw that Jooin doesny reciprocate his feelings and always treated him kindly. but he indeed was written poorly as well. he has no personality other than liking Jooin, and his background is just as none existent. author threw in the past life thing and made him depressed and made Jooin his entire world, when if they wanted Cain to be the second lead all along they at least should have made him some other purpose.
SO SORRY FOR THE LONG ASS REPLY MY CONCLUSION IS I GET BOTH SIDES OF THE FANDOM AND BOTH MALE LEADS WERE DONE VERY POORLY.

No i do agree with everything, it just doesn't change my opinion that yahwi's an asshole and that this ending sucks.
Susan mentioning flexibility when she's literally the one who tried compararing yahwi's abusive behavior with cain's behavior is SO funny. If she knew anything about flexibility she'd agree that this ending is rushed, even for Yahwi stans.

honestly i think i have never seen a bl this controversial ever. like the niche group of people who know this story have been at each other's throats for yearssss bro i dont remember twilight be this controversial about a love triangle and we were just a bunch of whiny teens bickering.
but THIS is another level.

oh girl have you read "love or hate" because THAT.... yeah that was absolutely more controversial, the split between the two male leads was actually crazy it was seeping into tiktok and twt like we were two grps alwayss at each others throat. if u were vibing with someone and u found out they were on the other team it was Instant hostility those times were crazy

to anyone who is under the impression that this is realistic, please dont go back to your ex
(its great to like the ending since its fiction but please never believe that real life relationships are anything like yaoi lol)

In a way it kinda is because many victims tend to go back to their toxic one in there life's believing there's a small chance of change and hang onto the kind acts they did once in awhile.
But at the same time, realistically it should never be that way and it shouldn't be normalized even in fiction, mostly if the story an average life and not a dark ambience (since I'm pretty sure most readers know in the dark ambience stories it's not good)

i mean yes but in real life, those relationships never work. there is no right person wrong time in real life. if something didn't work for some reason once, it wont work tve second or third time.
and i mean in fictional romance especially in the bl genre there are many examples of just that lol. not necessarily saying its harmful but preaching that its realistic is a massive reach.
cyber bullying still going strong in tbe comments i see
