In some parts it is a translation but it’s really easy to catch so it’s mostly how the story is structured it’s because they didn’t do chapters to like different ones they just put everything in one so you get confused but overall their life is very confusing in general throughout the book about three stories the first two and the second one I was so confused also this is old so the way that they were structured was weird
