Also, technically they have changed before they cared about 0 humans now they care about 1 that is progress. Also they aren't so much evil as sociopathic guard dogs. They don't really move on their own they follow the King's instructions be it spying or murder.

Not really. It starts off good but gets bad after like 10 chapters, the author threw a love triangle out of no where and a lot of conflicts that didnt have a proper resolution
