I don't have second couple syndrome in the slightest so I understand where you're coming from. I don't think Shahid and Yesing are bad per se, just that I prefer Kenard and Alvin 'cause of their dynamic and their history together.
I also enjoy watching Alvin grow and find his autonomy again after going through all the horrid shit he had to endure.
