ml love fl long ago at first sight, after he visited palace to ask for support because his land suffering from poor and drain, but the emperor refused to meet him, he accidently saw beautiful fl and he thought he never can marry her because her family is rich and his land is poor. Later he received the letter from emperor about marriage and he was surprised abt this, and he tried to find the way to solve problem in his land because he loves her and fears she hate this marriage because he cant provide her the life like in capital. So he went to fight with monster to find the source of problem. He got a lot of injure and scars due to that (fl never know about this). Back to present fl fight back to the mother in law and ask fro the right to use her downry. The mother is evil and tried to slapped her but one maid saved her, ml appear and said the downry will be decided by his wife--- yayyy.
Later he tried to ask people prepared luxury food for her so she can enjoys life in here but he is the guy who doesnt know how to express himself, only blush whenever fl compliments and smile. He is typical of shy guy. He even cant talk properly because he is too shy and he ended up by answering bluntly, which caused fl thought he hates her.

but why did he say her only tried to save her life bc of the child? and he also told her he didn’t want the child#－.－)
I think he told her that because
1) He doesn't know what to say in that situation or because he was dying he thought the fl would find a reason to live again......
2)maybe the ml though that the fl doesn't want the children or its to early for fl to have children or doesn't want to burden the fl or something.
It's just my own theory (=・ω・=)
