I have high hopes for this, for the art and the story.
I begin to like dark, psychological webtoons/mangas. And this has potential

I read the novel, until Aeroc dies and Clough has the guilt.
Basically, season in the webtoon adaption, i guess?
I haven't touched the novel nor the webtoon, for a long time now.
Is there a second season in english now? And do the end up together? I mean Aeroc and Clough?
You read volume 1 (season 1) is the main timeline, the tragic ending.
In season 2 or vol 2-3 is Aeroc’s return so only he remembers, but Clough dreams of the past because of a connection that was established in vol 1. In this life, yes, they’ll end up together because Clough will pursue Aeroc.

Oh and a headsup. This Clough is not OG clough from world 1. In this Arc it’s OG Aeroc and Au Clough, which is vol 2-3 of the novel. And the following arc is OG Clough and Au Aeroc, vol 5.
The author gave them the same partners but without the memories nor involvement in world 1. They won’t meet again, except in one dream which is a side story.

woah that's kinda sad but thinking about it, it really wouldnt make any sense if they were the same people reincarnated and got together.
It’s sad because Aeroc wanted forgiveness from Clough. And at the end of Clough’s arc he wanted forgiveness from Aeroc.
But I think it’s better they didn’t met actually, because they had healthier relationships with this new partners. Au Clough is a great support system for OG aeroc, he showered him with so much love. Au Aeroc was able to confidently match OG Clough, he wasn’t intimidated, they actually had a lot of fun banters. I used to want them to met, and didn’t understand the purpose of separating them. But when I see them growing from and actually living better lives, it was good to see.
If both Og each other. I don’t think they’ll heal. Winter made that clear in the side story Lucid Dream, both Og’s meet in a dream and have this brief conversation. You can feel Clough’s longing but he was still cruel to Aeroc. And Aeroc was just scared, he couldn’t get anything out. It was sad…
So, as i understand:
With Aerocs death the world splits into two worlds then?
One time where Aeroc has his memory (as right now) and one time, where Clough has his memories?
Can you please tell me what OG and Au means?

Au is Alternate universe
From my understanding, OG clough was still alive during the time of OG aeroc’s return. Because in a side story, after OG Aeroc found happiness in his own return. He sees OG Clough withering in his dreams, he was this old man sitting on a chair on his mother’s room looking at the cabin.
In a spoiler I read after Rapiel jr left. After sometime, Rapiel published this book ‘Rose Garden’ detailing his father’s crime to Aeroc (This isn’t accurate because its kr spoiler that I translated google) Clough was found dead frozen in the snow close to Aeroc’s tombstone.
So his death triggered him returning to this AU version where Aeroc is still alive but doesn’t know him. As for why they have returns, base from the novel, it’s the estate that has this legend that brings lovers back together.
So the story is split into three. The original story is the original universe, the second world is OG aeroc and au Clough, and the third is Og Clough and Au Aeroc. Kind of like a game, that has multiple endings.
In Clough’s return, he screams at Au Aeroc for leaving him in hell and what did he tell Rapiel claiming to be his mother (which connects us back to Rapiel Jr in the dream.)
It’s really cool because the story is really this big universe with sub branches, Rapiel jr has his own book the continuation of vol 1. They even have two spin-offs connected to s2, Raphael (Clough’s ex) gets his own love story, and another character.
Also the author wrote this short alternate ending to s1. If Aeroc survived that night. All the kids where at his bedside just waiting for him to wake up.
