I find it problematic but not NEARLY as problematic as some. I read things DESPITE how problematic they are, anyway. So what good is it gonna do for me to 'avoid problematic shit', HMMM? I simply acknowledge that stuff is problematic because I'm a realist, not 'wait to judge' the accused but pile on the victim before all the evidence is in, like I've seen everyone on here doing because I'm NOT one, after all. Sorry, not sorry that realists are so confusing, though, folks.

i agree + i'm kinda the same as you (if i understood you well though). i like to read manga that has a lot of problematic stuff. almost everything i read is really messed up. my point of view is that if you think of it realistically you will know that this kind of fucked up storyline is actually pretty accurate though. bc u see, human beings are fucked up in real life too, human beings are problematic, but sometimes people can't stand the crap that human beings do being romanticized at times and that's some idealistic shit. if there's no perfect human why should there be a yaoi couple in a healthy relationship ALWAYS? maybe bc yaoi has always been related to the stigma that there's always abusive stuff going on and people are untiringly trying to correct it? it doesn't mean that by reading stuff like that and enjoying myself while doing it makes me a person without any moral or social values or even empathy for the ones who don't like it. in the end, everyone can do whatever they want, but what i think is that they should really avoid it if it annoys them that bad, because there's a lot of other works that might suit their taste better. for me, taking time to criticize a manga because it doesn't correspond to realistic values is a waste of time, bc there's plenty of bright, fluffly or slice of life yaoi as much as there's a lot of 'not as cute' yaoi manga out there. idk i messed up idk if i expressed myself well.
