Painfully true. I dont want to get negative, but i think half-assed translation (cant think of any other accurate word) is a insult to the mangaka. Though leaving the manga translated half way and dropping it is also questionable.
If you don't like the translation you can always choose not to read it. Scanlations are illegal and will always be an insult to the mangaka. If you really cared about such things you wouldn't be here.
Someone took their time to translate this manga and it's 98% readable so I don't see the problem. The person is new and inexperienced so he/she is bound to make mistakes, no need to be an asshole about it. People should be grateful, someone is translating this manga, no one else cared to pick it up over the last two years.
Again, if you can't really stand the translations don't read them or translate them yourselves if you think you can do a better job.
