I have trauma with dogs too, when I was little we had a pet dog but it bit a friend of mines when we were about to go inside my house, her screams and the dog biting her was really scary for me back then. (She's fine btw) I don't really have a grudge towards dogs but when I see one I automatically just walk the other way lol, even the cute ones








The dad prolly experience something similar like what he did to tomoe, that's why he neglected his son. The dad is prolly wired in his brain that if they serve no purpose in the family's business then they aren't that important. He just doesn't know how to handle something that wasn't taught to him or given an environment to learn that "unimportant stuff" is okay, totally not justifying his actions. Just my speculation of his character after rereading this manga again
I'll prolly rate this 9/10, if the author didn't rush after chapter 5 I'll rate this a 10. Still the author made it easy enough to understand what kind of characters we are reading here and I really appreciate that.
