As a horror novel it was pretty good.
As a romance.... Well, I recommended, for their own safety and other's, that the author of this never date.
Nothing says romance like theft, Gaslighting, manipulating, threats, blackmail, stalking, cyberbullying, Kidnapping, confinement, rape, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and mental abuse, forcibly drugging someone and almost killing them multiple times, denying medical care, force prostitution (pretty sure this is actually sex trafficking), hunting a person down across country, and developing Stockholm sydrome.
Such romance. Much love.
She so obviously wants to have a cutesy personal but her short temper and crass mouth are really cutting her down. I like her character to read because of it though, she feels so much like a real person who just decided to be feral one day.
This feels like the story an FL would pick apart after finding herself suddenly reincarnated into it.

Cassian was his REAL name as a hero, not just a name he made to be a hero. Now they're telling Villian Cassian he has to Change his name?
Imagine his name was like John or something and try went up to him and said "You need to chantre your name because we knew a famous John who was very good and you're a horrible person and don't deserve that name"
It's really a ridiculous concept when you Thi k about it. Do they expect me to believe that the Hero Cassi an is the ONLY one in the world named Cassian? I betcha mothers named their kids after the hero that saved them and stuff.
What I'm saying is I woulda fought them for the sheer audacity.
