So something I don't get after reading the first season is that when the King found Shin's body all hot n' loved by Wolf, why was Shin only banished naked? There was no manhunt for Shin's lover...
Shin was his current favorite, Shin drugged him, and betrayed him in one of the worst ways.
The King had his major killer ragefit when his other child in the past got touched and healed for a snake bite---nothing sexual in nature. And supposedly kidnapped, but I doubt he really bought that story and just wanted to be the King of Dicks that he is.

honest answer? it was probably wolfgang's plot armor kicking in.
possible in-universe explanation? while by the end of season one it's all but outrighted stated that the king's kinda going senile, by that point in the story he's probably at least aware enough to realize that a horrifying and cruel public execution (possibly of his own son who was already known by many to not exactly be his favorite) immediately after putting his most beloved child through grueling public humiliation would look pretty gosh-darn suspicious.
but that's all i got.

Technically speaking they never stressed upon what happened afterwards except that Shin was bed ridden so they might have looked for the lover just never caught him because the only two people who know for sure are shin and Wolfgang.
Make no mistake that the king knows too but he had no proof whatsoever that it was Wolfgang who did it so he couldn't just kick him in the curb or kill him. He had already killed one child and killing the other would be suspicious and bad for his overall situation - his reputation is already in the pits and with no concrete evidence it would seem like he's just killing off his heir because he's threatened by him and would appear weak.
Fear is all he has over his subjects now so if he showed weakness he knows it will be exploited and he will be dethroned.
On top of all of that Wolfgang isn't meeting with Shin. (Or so he says because he comes there secretly.) And shin is bedridden in the King's eyes so he thinks his punishment worked. He didn't kill him he did the next best thing. Shin was his favourite child after all plus he's the son of a minister.
Long story short the King believes he's punished Wolfgang in the worst way by punishing and impairing Shin and keeping those two from ever seeing each other. :)
I'm rooting for Odin and Diesel. My otp may not become canon, but there's still a ton of evidence to support them as a possibility.
We can always dream!
If the two of them reunites in the present timeline, it will be a very emotional moment. Maybe we will know that it is Odin that Diesel really loves!not Yanek, not Ein...what a plot twist it would be! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
I'm not oppose to this lol
Lol
