Anyone else find it weird that mangas always link foreigner(white) with beautiful... if you have mixed blood you are thought of as more beautiful in mangas... feels weird... asians are also beautiful... so is every other race... u dont have to be mixed or white to be beautiful
I think he was just beautiful, not because he is a foreigner but because his face is handsome (race doesn't really matter when it comes to beauty i guess)

It's beauty standards. Anyone with paler skin is considered a "beauty." It's why geisha's and whatnot dress their faces with white makeup. Fair skin is considered beautiful.

this is not just the case in manga. these beauty standards translate from real life. my friend's white af and she's got naturally red hair and freckles and every time she's in japan, the people there are (respectfully) all over her lol. maybe it's got something to do with... idk... you know, asians see asians every day? just like i see white people every day. i think white people are ok looking? but when i see people of color i'm always like??? wow??? they're so much prettier???
