Lol, first of all the dead girl (Yutaro) wasn't killed by the mom but her son.
Secondly, yes she was obsessed with the father, but if you were actually paying attention she never actually had anyone who cherished her other then the original kaho, even her mom, who abused her didn't love her. Yutaro (the dead girl) obviously gets attached easily and is also prone to being deceived. While the spinless father, who lived a similar lonely life as Yutaro, did whisper words of loving her and wanting to protect her, he deceived her and made her fall hard. Now Yutaro, who was being abandoned yet again, didn't want to give up. While she did go way too far, stalking the father and fighting back and trapping the mother (which she totally deserved), she didn't deserve getting stabbed to death by the son, maybe some jail time and therapy but not death. Now, while she did cheat on the psycho son, however he did threaten her with a knife and try to hurt her (before she even cheated), so obviously that relationship was done. Another point to her being deceived was that the father didn't reject her advances (after he saved her from being cut with the knife the son was threatening her with), in fact he encouraged it.
Thirdly, the fact that your siding with the mother is insane, idk if you support incest but she definitely isn't one you want to side with. She's absolutely disgusting, raising her son like that, practically raping him since he was a kid and mentally making him accept their current twisted romantic relationship as something normal. I was really hoping Yutaro would kill her or at least get her arrested, unfortunately since she was so deeply deceived by the father, she didn't let go and was eventually killed by the son.
Fourthly, I don't blame her for getting plastic surgery and changing her name, although she shouldn't have gone that far, I do get it to a certain degree, mainly because kaho was very loved, had a loving family and had future prospects. When she left for America, Yutaro was left alone, with no one left that cared for her, since kaho was the only one that genuinely cared for her, I believe in some twisted sense that getting surgery to look like her and changing her name was a pitiful attempt to feel closer to kaho, and to maybe receive some of the love that kaho was showered with.

Also, I do get where your coming from, she's definitely at fault too, but her side of things is more or less mental and abandonment issues, when it comes down to it, she just wanted to be loved desperately and was willing to do anything to get it. Another thing is that she didn't really steal kaho's identity, she just made herself look like her and take her name. She didn't contact Kaho's family, their friends or try to steal her information, she just started a new life looking like someone who is dearly loved. Even when she first talked to the father, her previous teacher, she said she was in his class, which was true.
Now, while I get why you dropped it, because I was very close to doing so as well (╯°Д °)╯╧╧, the frustration was real. After Yutaro was killed it went from creepy incest, infidelity and drama to more of an angsty, horror house and now Kaho is trying to figure out where he best friend is. It definitely gives resident evil 7 vibes. If you like the horror genre then the latter chapters out rn would check that box. Hopefully they keep to their current route and don't go back to that "other stuff"

After that he had a marriage of convinience with Aster's mother...He was someone with an inferiority complex about his height leading female lead to wear flats...His mother kept tormenting her and getting in their family matters but he never took sides and tried to "stay neutral" which I believe is enough reason to create issues... The fact that Aster their own child hated how her mother was treated while growing up, to the point of using magic to make her go back in time and give her a 2nd chance says a lot too...We never got too much details about their marriage life anyway...Sure compared to other isekai Manhwa he is far from a "villain" but these instances, though not painful enough they can end up killing a marriage slowly...
