AND I LOVE THAT.
Also, to those who are in doubt, so far, it seems the MC just sees all of the children as his ward and adopted kids. Though the beast girl and Yutia and Deus are oddly obsessed with him, they think of them all as children even when the beast girl declared that she wants to marry him. He regards it as the normal thought of a young girl who wants to marry someone like their father when they grow up.
BE FR. HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HYESUNG HAD TO GO THROUGH BECAUSE OF HIS SHITTY PARENTS! HE ALSO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHIT HYESUNG HAD TO GO THROUGH DURING THE TIME HE'S CARRYING HIM!!!!! HIM AND DOJIN CAN GO FUCK OFF OF HYESUNG'S LIFE!!!
Srsly. It's so fucking shit that they're using Hyesung's trauma to push Byul's damn romance. This is bullshit.
This is so exhausting to read. This better be the final season. ISTG if they try to stretch this problem out for another season, I'm going to strangle someone. Idc they can chase all they want but we all know that none of that will evidently work. They'd only reconcile if one of them drops dead from exhaustion and looking a their physical appearance, it will be Dohu.
Seme will probably agree to the 5 meet up nonsense then realize his feelings afterwards and they try to patch things up after that but honestly speaking, they're better off without each other. Juheon is obviously mentally and emotionally ill (traumas whatnot) and what he needs is therapy now not another relationship. Love doesn't fix shit. Dohu on the other hand needs to say his piece and drop out from the seme's life after that five meet up thing and try to not live so obsessively because it's obviously not good for his health.
On another note, had they started acting like adults and talk shit out and sit the fuck down, then maybe this wouldn't be such a pile of long ass grievances. This is definitely turning into slowburn but slowburn is honestly only good if the buildup is deeper than what's going on between the two of them. Lewellyn’s would be a good example of a well executed slowburn. This, on the other hand, is slowburn only because they both need therapy and heal their mental illnesses but they're doing anything but that.
They can put that in side story or another season whatsoever. They're bound to end up together since they're the main CP but they need to fix this burning pile of conflict in a satisfying way because with how they're pacing this, it's like they're dragging this entire thing without a set direction. Dohu's character went from bad to worse and Juheon's went from fake to good to bad. I hope they can give this a satisfying conclusion.
Blondie is a vibrating golden retriever top from the looks alone. Reminds me of Yeonsul from Third Ending and the seme of Nameless Flower. There's also the seme from Omega Complex. If you want an old school example, there's Lewelly too. Black hair just reminds me of Jin from Green Light and the uke of Unromantic. Like it's so OBVIOUS.
If that's not obvious enough for you, the fact that he's a virgin yet his back isn't killing him after sex just meant that he wasn't the one getting screwed.

This novel is so well-written. Not in an immense-and-immersive-worldbuilding or compelling-backstory type of way but in a hook, line, and sinker type of way.
Like I don't normally read generic tropes of immense age gap older seme gangster x young debtor uke since I like action and fantasy more but this one is so... Interesting? No. Not interesting but it strangely has the right flavors that I want but did not expect to be written or to be included in the story. Sure, there's a lot of R18 like a ton of it and the foul mouthed dirty talk usually turns me off from reading normally but this one made it so natural and funny at the same time that I don't even find it cringe. And there's a bit of coercion at the start but it's something that I would categorize as an equally beneficial action to the pair. Their first time was actually consensual.
For the characters, they're not very complex characters but they're very realistic. The uke especially responds to situations similar to an ordinary person. It's not exaggerated but it's also presented in a way that doesn't make it look underwhelming. The seme is also very gangster-like and oh my god. I love how downbad he is to the uke. I lost count on how many body worship scenes I've read. It probably happens every time they're together in bed. And he's such an utter romantic. Like the small gestures, the way he REASSURES the uke, the way he tries his best to accommodate all his needs is so endearing. This man's love language is all of the above. Like physical touch? Check. Acts of Service? Check. Words of Affirmation? Double check! Gift giving? Triple check!! Quality time together? Quadruple check!! The only problem is that the uke misunderstands him a lot of time because he's a gangster and he's doubtful of his every move at the start but they eventually surpass that hurdle.
And my most favorite part was the chopping of one of the minor villain's limbs. It was so satisfying that I caught myself making a flying kiss gesture like a lunatic.
They also had one single big fight and it scared me SO BAD too. Like I was terrified for the uke because the seme doesn't really play when it comes to betrayal. I was pretty frustrated with the uke too but I can't really blame him because he overthink a lot, is always anxious, and doesn't trust so easily because of his past. Like their big fight happened because they don't fully trust each other but the way they resolved it was so... Euphoric? I can't even describe it. It just hit all the right spots!!
Overall, what made me hooked on this is the author's writing style. The scenes are straight out romantic and the gestures of the top for his partner is so beautiful along with the uke's healing. It's not a poetic writing per se and it doesn't have the flowery words some novels has but it's very good and very well-written. I was so endeared the entire time I was reading this.
You guys should try reading the novel in novel updates because it's so much more descriptive. The manhwa is very cute too.
Oooh love ur review
Do u think I should straight up try novel first or begin manhwa
Although I’ll probably leave it to marinate… dont think it’s finished…
Is novel finished?
The novel is finished. In my experience, reading the novel first is better but it's also nice to see the actual depictions of the characters in the manhwa so maybe read the manhwa first then catch up with the novel. If you were to read the latest chapter in the manhwa, you can start at chapter seven in the novel.
Where do I read the novel
