It's was all just conjecture up to this point. And no need to call names. The dissection DID require "critical thinking". Otherwise this is just one shitty story and I wouldn't want to read it ever again.

As I said weeks ago, he was probably misdiagnosed as a beta, and that's probably canon cause he says in the later chapter that he regrets not being an omega. So clearly he didn't withhold that info intentionally.
And if ian was actually smart, considering he had enough time n resources to research Noah's friends and family, he could have easily found out abt the misdiagnosis.
Where was the critical thinking when you could have considered maybe Noah might have been shit scared cause he probably wasn't aware of the changes to his own body, Cause as long as he had been alive he thought he was a beta, Or maybe he didn't contact the father or the fetus because he thought ian would want nothing to do with both of them?or maybe he didn't try reaching out cause he has always felt replaceable to ian? Or maybe he was afraid that ian would seperate him from his son, cause that's the only family he has rn? Plethora of reasons and still they can't justify ians rapey behaviour and cringe "we are animals" monologue that no one asked for in the present

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a misdiagnosis, since, even if he were recessive he would have been susceptible to/receptive of pheromones from alphas (as well as omegas, in most Omegaverses). I also mentioned before that part of the character trait of an omega, whether recessive or not, is the ability to secret lubricants for sex as well as being able to easily take in an alpha's typically very large dick. IF he had been an omega all of this time these traits are not even present. He would have been able to detect pheromones from ALL alphas and omegas, as well as having self-forming lube and ease of receiving alpha's large dick. He said he wishes he were an omega to make Ian happy, but Ian said it's better that he's not. And later he was scared of being an omega and wishes he wasn't one because he's afraid of what will happen when Ian finds out.

As far as the child is concerned, up that point Ian isn't interested or wanted to be with omegas, so he wouldn't have wanted a child anyways prob. So Noah shouldn't have had any fears about Ian's wanting to take away the child. Now, many years later, oh, idk it might have occurred to him that Ian might come after him for that, IF he knew Noah had been pregnant with his child and had given birth, then sure. But that's just his fear. Nothing justified his fear except for the fact they had both gone into heat at the same time & mate-bonded.

Unless this is a plot twist, Noah has lived all of his life as a beta, manifesting no traits that I've discussed above that belongs to an omega. Usually recessive means they give off such faint hormones that cannot be detected, as was Noah's case, only presented or enough to be detected when he's been induced into heat. And recessive also means low conception probability, not that ALL omega traits are completely masked or non present altogether.

I'm not going down the whole misdiagnosis route again with you, this is the last. Noah thinks he is a beta cause he shows beta traits and was assigned a beta. But turns out he is not. He literally states in the first chapter that he is a HYPER recessive omega, and that he is basically a beta, but as i mentioned in my comment, during the FWB thing he wished he was an omega, AT THIS POINT clearly unaware that he IS a hyper recessive omega, if we have to be so literal about the diagnosis, let's get in to it. In most ABO verses a person recieves their secondary sex results in school etc and since he is a hyper recessive who did not manifest any omega traits (yet) he could be mistaken for a beta.
He might have just been a really late bloomer, that's all.
He really doesn't seem that conniving to be running around telling people he was a beta if he knew he was actually an omega, recessive or not.

Let's say thats how it is, ian doesn't care about kids at that point. That's probably cause he doesn't think pregnancy would be an issue when you're raw dogging a beta male. But Noah isn't a beta and he does end up getting pregnant.

Fine well agree to disagree since it seems you feel he is a recessive from the get go. I can't take that as the actual scenario since no matter if you're recessive you can still detect pheromones & self lubricate. He stated that he's hyper recessive to himself and noted to his friend that yorie the only one who treated me this way because his friend already knows he's an omega, what with child and all, his circumstances.

After this latest chapter, I think he is afraid of Ian finding out he's an omega because Ian doesn't like omegas. But Ian's dumping him in the rain shouldn't be the reason he feels scared for his life. It has to do with Ian's distaste for omegas. It's fine if your view is different, since most of us interpreted that Noah is an omega based on the synopsis and the story so far after he's been turned, not that he has been one but not apparent.

Noah's desire to keep the child is selfish. That child does not belong to him alone. We don't know the circumstance of his family and childhood, so he may have reacted based on that. Or his fear of Ian's finding out that he's been mated with an omega, an idea that most males would have been abhorrent of, if they had happened to have been marked during rut, and then tied down to some omega.

Even if Ian Could take the child easily there's no reason for Noah to feel that way. It's whatever Noah has hangups with that causes him to feel that way. There has to be a reason why he feels that way. Not that Ian can easily take him away due to his status/power/wealth/influence. But the why.

And sure, down the line he may be fearful, but at the time of the rutting and post rutting where he had found out he was pregnant at the time Ian didn't want anything to do with omegas, so for sure at that time he gave two shits about having and wanting kids. So Noah's reason for fearing this is unsound and completely neurotic.

Present day Noah knows he is a hyper recessive omega. But during the time he was involved with Ian
five years ago, he thought he was a beta. Ian is the first alpha he had been with and his hyper recessive traits hadn't kicked in yet and he had not had his first heat yet, neither does he know what alpha pheromones smell like, because in the latest chapter he just says that the air in the room felt a little stifling from the previous times he had been there. And he also had his first heat in reaction to ians rut.

He is not just recessive but hyper recessive and that's probably why he doesn't show any omega traits.

Noah and ian are literally two ends of the ABO scale, one being a hyper dominant and the other a hyper recessive. Constant exposure to ians pheromones could have had some effect on his otherwise hyper recessive genes and could have peaked at the rut and caused him to go through his first heat. Think about that.

It could be deduced as selfish to Noah to keep the child without letting ian know about it, but Noah could have just assumed that ian might not be that happy about his FWB partner getting pregnant. ( in a better scenario they could co parent but for plots sake)

The whole marking thing was just a really bad timing which was neither of their faults. Ian wasn't in possession of his faculties during his rut and Noah wasn't even sure what the fuck was going on. Just consider the fact that his whole life till this very point he thought he was a beta. alpha pheromones, ruts and omega heats were not something he ever had to deal with. He could have only found out about the pregnancy after he left for korea. He was already planning to move back home and wasn't gonna pursue ian anymore after seeing him one last time.
He also says that he grew up in that small town with only his grandma and mother who are long gone. So it's safe to assume he has no close family besides his own son atm. Of course he is gonna feel some type of way at the possibility of ian taking their son away that's literally his only immediate family. And in no way does that make him unsound or neurotic to be terrified at the thought of losing his child.

But like you said he didn't go around fooling anyone. I'm not saying he was. Everything you said is legit. But from my understanding of ABO, even if you were recessive you still exhibit some traits, if not all. It could have been he's never been with a rutting alpha so he's never been exposed to that kind of pheromone.

The reason I think he wasn't born a hyper recessive is because as an omega, like I said, he SHOULD have been able to detect pheromone, in whatever amount, not talking about the inundation provided by a rutting alpha. Just a general sensing. I mean, by your theory if he was an omega but unmanifested then it doesn't even make sense. I've never heard of omegas who can't sense pheromones, even if they're so recessive they can't produce enough to be sensed.

The rules for ABO changes depending on authors preferences. Here it just happens to be that Noah is hyper recessive omega exhibiting traits much more closer to a beta than an omega (5 years ago atleast.) The author took the time to mention he was a HYPER recessive not just a recessive omega, what it's giving lower chances of going into heat, low to no pheromones and lower fertility rate than what a recessive omega would have.
So something along the line of dominant omega > recessive omega > hyper recessive omega
Hence more like a beta than an omega.
idk which chapter, but noah thinks that he is a beta with no pheromones, and doesn't show any indication to have smelled any pheromones or ians pheromones before that rut incident. It wasn't the fact that people diligently took their medicines, bro just couldn't smell pheromones, heats and ruts due to him being a hyper recessive omega.

And I never insinuated that ian has no rights or he shouldn't have a relationship with the child, he should be able to if he wants to. I'm all for both parents being in a kids life as long as they can do right by their child. Fictional or not. :)

What I'm saying is that Noah is not unfounded in his fear to be afraid of ian taking their child away from him, from day one of their relationship there has always been a power imbalance between them, be it money, class even down to their genetics. Noah has always felt replaceable to ian, and it didn't help with how the 'are we dating' thing went. So Noah thinks he holds little to no value to ian even if it maybe otherwise (only ian knows).


Annddd come on,let's talk irl sense, everyone has one or two female members in their families and are still uneducated on periods, birth control, pregnancy. Like i had a friend who was surprised that women had a pelvis,(whhaaa) at one point in my life I had to explain to my gf that cis women don't have a prostate, or to someone else that women don't pee from their vaginas or no! period blood doesn't come from the butthole. But yeah, it's just weird cuz I'm so used to stories that have omegas and alphas going into heat and rut all over the place and so it's commonplace, and rape (or infidelity) is commonplace. So let's say in this universe that isn't the case, then perhaps this society has very well regulated hormone therapy so ppl can control their pheromones and heat and rut cycle. I'm not talking about Noah's inability to sense pheromones, but the occurrence of heat symptoms that can be seen aside from the pheromones, and also when someone is in proximity or that he's been educated enough to see the signs. Like, as you say, if they don't see you bleeding out of your uterus then they can't tell you're on your period, but other symptoms associated the period are present: cramps, bloating, nausea (I know not every experiences these symptoms and not to the same degree but just in general). And in many Omegaverses they also talk about sex Ed classes and how they go over the material with everyone. However, betas may just brush it aside as being inconsequential. :) this is true for one of the novels I've read (Ni Jiu/ Intoxication) where beta manifested late and didn't know he had been focused with alpha's pheromones and went into heat.
