Why is he chasing him now? Honestly, I prefer unrequited love stories where the ML knows he’s being liked but chooses to reject them clearly. At least that feels real and intentional. What I don’t like is when the MC confesses after years, gives up, and then the ML suddenly “realizes” he loves them and starts chasing. Like, why now?
