100% agree. this was going so well as it was. why add romance into it? ngl with the fox girl arc coming, I don't feel excited to read the next few chapters because it seems like an unnecessary filler arc - that and our girl albis was thrown under the bus by the author (╯╬°皿 °)╯╧╧

Me too. I loved the manga so much that i started searching for the light novel online. After reading it and saw he married the kid i lost it. Im not that excited to read anymore haha i still love it though, just a bit annoying adding stupid romance.

I haven't read all of it. But from what I can remember both liked him. Momiji was introduced by her mom and dad which is hakuro. Albis wanted him too. So he married both then had a child with both before evolving.

I cant seem to accept momiji because she literally appeared out of nowhere. Atleast albis had a little chemistry with beni.

the fact that benimaru n momiji's marriage is SO romanticized to the point it highlights the fact that momiji gave birth to his first offspring before he evolved is just FOUL.

agreed and for me, momiji comes off a bit childish and wilful? It felt like she got benimaru because of her parents. I know she's stronger and won a fight but the progression of the relationship felt like she was given a toy she wanted rather than a development of a relationship. Albis and benimaru just have better chemistry.

While yea he was right to be suspicious he could've easily been proven wrong with a DNA test. Instead he projected his insecurities on his son which is scummy. And yeah he abandoned him after his mom died.

True, in the novel, it said Phillip and her were childhood friends and at some point their familys thought of geting them engaged, it didn't happend. He was in love with her as you said, he painted her and give her the painting.
The father was jealous and thought she cheated on him, that Ash wasn't his son because he had heterochromia( his eyes were of two color) even though she wasn't in contact with Phillip anymore, but the day she died, she met him when she was with Ash buying him paints.
There was a bomb Phillip protected her son and she put herself over them to protect her son and died. The father thought that was proof she cheated, so he married his lover and abandoned Ash.

The doctor didn't call Kyle ash....Kyle and ash have kinda identical character design.....I had a hard time differentiating both too at the start.....the main diff is Kyle's both eyes are blue whereas ash's only one eye is blue
