An interesting concept for gender bender- a lot of internal monologue i presume of people exploring their sexuality is expressed as a physical thing instead which I found a little smart and a fun take. The whole "is my heart also like a girl's now" "I can only do this as a girl etc" really also touched on the whole confusion you feel when you've been get for a long time and slowly exploring the queer spectrum. Also, the consent in this oneee

Due to unexpected events, Sakaki ends up being Yuki's "customer" and he's touched by Sakaki's words....

A surprise entry- but this manga is nostalgic and always hits: a host and yakuza was all it took haha. While there are some eh dialogues on how girlish and feminine behaviour (for a guy etc) i still like this because they make a hot visual pair and both have strong character archtypes. Also, a sucker for this artstyle and the whole rugged bottom sex-appeal haha along with minimal conflict

Fuck, I'm crying. And you'd too. The story of Hayashida and Yumi will always get to me. One of the finest light read psychological drama, it's done well and I'm so happy Ogeretsu Tanaka exists:')

In tears at the end, I remember years ago reading Yumi's story and now I don't remember much but I know his current partner helped him leave his abusive relationship. Hence, I don't remember if I actually read the spin-off about his ex right after because of Yumi's grief/suffering. Much later did i read (and reread) the prequel to this story just as a standalone because i didn't want to feel hurt for Yumi again.

But here, I loved how this story handled it, and that you shouldn't romanticise "the abusive ex who actually was broken inside" because at the end of the day Hayashida knows that it was his actions that hurt Yumi and that he couldnt just let it go. That he harmed someone he held so dear to his heart.

I liked that they didn't ask for Yumi's forgiveness because really Yumi had no reason to but he gave him that album and let him know that you can move on now from being haunted too. There was no redemption arc, no him going to apologise etc. Just that, their stories will be seperate as life goes on for both.

I'm happy that Hayashida while is tormented, his abuse wasn't just written off in his own story(like the author going that now that he's in love he's perfect and an angel etc etc) they held him accountable while still treading the path of self- forgiveness (since he knows asking Yumi that would be tremendously unfair and wrong). It's a capturing both sides without undermining either. And I love them, I hope both heal and I'm happy that both have found loves that understand them.

I actually liked it! Sure, there were hiccups here and there but I loved it. I could do with a little less smut after every thing but I loved the last few chapters a lot. I liked how far Euijoon came and the slow (still less) insight we were given into Ahjussi's past. I guess once you live life a certain way for a long time and you're unhappy, you can't just suddenly have a personality change or open up about it. Just musing about this. I liked the ending, I'm glad it all worked out and I am a sucker for a happy ending with just everyday life things- like waking up together, breakfast, laughter and mutually wishing to just spend time together. I liked the small elements of both catering to each other and it not being a compromise but more like- there's no shame in wanting something and I love you so let's do this. Them getting together and growing from when they first met, I'm happy Euijoon took some time to get his thoughts together. The remorse from Ahjussi and yes, while he still could've called I'd let him off for this since Eui did and that's all I care about.

I'm happy they're happy and that's all I care about.

Definitely was a ride- personally liked season 1 more with a focus on plot/set up more than s2 which felt more like catering to their prime audience (the smut faction) I'm more on the shounen ai-yaoi reader who loves the build up to a pair getting together, moments of care and love and a strong emotional bond over the physical (which I don't mind) but the romance wasn't romancing much in s2 because of/ alongside overabundance of sex at every moment.
Sad moments, bad moments - sex is the next step.

Loved the workplace set up of s1 alot as well- his worries, lack of enthusiasm - the moment the top goes: "why aren't you working hard and you can't pick and choose" felt so real had to pause there.
I liked the emotions of Eunkyum there alot. And the enemies to lovers arc.

But coming back, I generally liked the characters, just wished the Jihyuk (top) wasn't so forceful during their intimate time- that has happened all the times, the bottom says "no I don't want to" and the top says the classic "oh but you want it" only when he starts sobbing does he take him seriously :/.

While he's more the nicer side of tops in the manhwa gang (the bar of decency is in hell) and does care about the bottom, it felt like the author trying to convince the reader that he's just a bully during sex but baby every where else still it wasn't to my taste which lead me to skip most of the intimate times in s2- even the way he held him sometimes like bounding him, hands clutching his neck or arms. So didn't totally dislike the story but towards the middle- lend it was a little draggy since the story really didn't go anywhere.

TLDR: not bad since the art was really nice like really nice and the author tried and the characters were mostly cute but wouldn't be revisiting this anytime soon (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Oh my god what do I say?! The conversation on sexuality in this manga and the characters are 10/10- direct, polite, respectful and consent understanding Yuichiro and a loving, capable and cute Takaki. Just too good! I love where this genre is going, the growth, the conversations on understanding sexuality and green flag characters:))

Damn, gimme back my hours- the art is good but the story : like fr what was this? Why? I only am left with why?
Let's start-

So honestly expected more anger, frustration and revenge themed story that okay I'm going to break this seme and leave his rat ass behind from the uke um but apparently not.

So far one of the bad bls I've read- while I enjoy the exploration that some authors do in terms of dark themes, this was not it. It started nowhere, led nowhere and I was stressed and anxious the entire time.

There's something unsettling about this story and while okay don't give me a happy ending but let the uke get better- let him comes to terms with this deep sense of unhappiness that he has with life where i constantly felt he's going to hurt himself (I don't think it was particularly intentional) but really why that trash of a seme.

I stopped halfway through because it was a toxic circle- he knows seme doesn't love him, wants to pinp him out, fakes sweet nothing's to him, doesn't care about his physical well-being or him in general so he runs away to come back immediately. Like okay. I guess it's supposed to highlight the thought- that life sucks so bad you hit rock bottom and choose to stick around with the worst possible man because his body is warm but still.

Sighs.
I have much to say yet nothing at all. I guess the book just beings with it the underlying sense of defeat.

Im done.
