The ending is deserved noah could have his happy ending but that won't be fair even in the last chapter he mentioned that he's feeling empty now that he couldn't continue presiding his experiments meaning that he'll do it again if he felt empty enough. I enjoyed the store so much to the last chapter but when it ended i felt empty maybe because it was rushed a little it needed few chapters of Dylan giving noah his treatment for it to be more satisfying i love noah so much but dying would only be fair if he died for good
