But he ignores it and proceeds to get into a relationship with him. And because he knows what he is he always assures him that he can leave whenever and he won't come after him.

Ikr. I was reading this a while back but I had to stop due to the emotional damage it was giving me lol. It’s literally torture porn. Like we would’ve gotten the same idea of Geom’s immense suffering with maybe only the first rape scene drawn out and detailed, and the rest could be implied or drawn in more subtle ways. Like genuinely what is the point of the countless graphic rape scenes?

I think the manhwa could have explained it better but from what I understood, he wasn't physically able to leave the cave until his master deemed him "ready", like he wasn't physically able to climb to the top of the cave until he had mastered a minimum of techniques
