I'm hoping that Misaki's brother won't freak out too bad, if he does, when Misaki finally gets the confidence to tell him about his relationship with Usagi-san. Takahiro is very protective of Misaki because that's his baby bro that he raised all by himself so I won't be surprised if and when Misaki tells him, that Takahiro will be angry at Usagi-san and not accept their relationship at first, and quite possibly stop talking to Usagi-san for a bit.
I'm glad though, that Manami-san knows about Misaki and Usagi-san ^o^ if things do go south for Misaki regarding his brother, I know that she'll be there to keep things together for both of them.
It is refreshing to see a female character written this way. Liked also how Usagi went to the sister in law and told her before Misaki. I am almost thinking that he will do the same thing with the older bro.... maybe. knowing how much their relationship means to Misaki, he may go and talk with Takahiro first. just a side thought, any way liked your post.
