It wasn't until I fully read Kimi Ga Koi Ni Oboreru (Reiichirou's story) that I finally noticed that Tsukasa was being a total ass towards his brother.
And, yes, I know that Reiichirou finally figured out this his feelings towards Haru were not those of love all along.
I'm just happy that the older bro got his own love and story. Honestly, Reiichirou's story was a hell of a lot better then Tsukasa's.

i don't agree with u. tsukasa was like that cause his family favorite rei more. look like he was in his shadow . sorry but rei is air head some thing n he have to be told thing to realize it if u read his story u know.

And I don't agree with you. Tsukasa was still acting like an ass towards his brother.
Also, what favoritism? Seeing as how Reiichirou is the first born son it's only traditional/natural for him to take over the family and everything.
And yes, I do know that Reiichirou is very frank and blunt. That's just how he is. Jinnai helped him overcome this.
And anyways the important part was that everything finally got out in the open. Tsukasa and Haru are together. Rei finally figured out his feelings towards Haru were in fact not love and moved on and fell in love with Jinnai.
Everyone is happy :) even the strained relationship between the two brothers is gradually fixing itself :D

I haven't read the sequel yet but I didn't like that story either. I do like Sensei work in general (Koisuru bokun, Biyaku na silent), but I couldn't find this little something special in this story. No flame, just my point of view :D
Tsukasa was indeed just a brat. Even if he liked Haru, was that a reason to be so mean to his brother? Even before Rei's confession, he was being an ass even though Rei had all rights to seek explanation from Haru (since they were such good friends and he just disappear without a word). He was just so jealous and mean to his brother; was always forceful and jumping to conclusion on his own... I couldn't appreciate the romance. *Sigh*

Stop fangirling, if you liked the big bro better just dont dis the little bro cause all is fare in love and war and if you look at his position in the manga his "brat" personality is just him acting out on his jealouscy. A very common occurence in life.

So I just read the sequel. And from your comment I was expecting Tsukasa to be really bad there or something. But what I saw was Tsukasa reacting like a normal person towards an estranged brother. It's not that Rei was the favourite but that he excelled in everything he did. But with his personality he came up as aloof and somewhat arrogant (Tsukasa has the impression Rei looks down on him for some comments Rei bluntly made regarding archery) And also Tsukasa trying his best to catch up to him on his own. That to me is misunderstandings and brothers rivalry.
But then Haru comes along and it's the one thing that Tsukasa just can't lose to his brother. And in top of that he just sees Haru getting hurt by Rei. He doesn't understand Rei because he doesn't know him enough as to think he might be harbouring feelings for Haru. He just thinks is some half-assed frienship. Or something. So he's instincts are to protect a Haru from that.
If he was that much of an asshole he would have done something more than going yo congratulate Haru.
Saying that I must admit sometimes Tsukasa got on my nerves with being so pushy. But I also didn't like that in Jinnai. At the beggining it just seemed like Rei was just going along with the relationship. Like there was no real feelings toward Jinnai and that's what triggers his insecurity. I think the same happens with Tsukasa. Seeing Haru always looking at Rei and how he thinks he's brothers is superior in everything. Maybe he thinks Rei can snatch Haru anytime.

I totally agree with you..after reading the sequel i realised i didnt like the younger brother that much. Even when reading the first story i didnt like how he treated his brother..i really think he was just jelous that his older brothe excell in everything that he does and that Haru was in love with him and i think that is so childish and wrong. I even thought that he was better off without his younger brother but i know that wrong of me..anyway happy ending to both of them

I agree with you. Tsukasa is a high schooler so obviously he's going to be more childish and "bratty" cause if you think about it his behaviour to his brother makes perfect sense. Imagine if you had a seemingly "perfect" brother who you thought looked down on you and then think about how you'd feel if the person you cared and loved most in the world used to be in love with them. Im pretty sure anyone would be insecure. Coupled with the fact that he is still a high schooler (and I can confirm for a fact that Japanese high schoolers are slightly more childish than western ones because I go to a Japanese school) his bratty behaviour makes sense. Obviously you don't have to like him or anything but Im just saying how he's acting for a kid his age and situation he could be a lot worse. "Childish" yes (because he is still a child btw ) "wrong", well I don't think he is.

LOL I've always wondered: WTF is Shimako doing?? xD

Is she stuffed from eating so much that she fell over or did she fall over just to fall over??
The part where Naru is banging on the floor in Mamoru's home is the best xD I couldn't stop laughing~!!
