I honestly dont sympathize with Dohyeok, it is sad and it should not have happened and no one absolutely non deserved that to happen to them. BUT! I go back on the main story and then read thru the aide stories and it just makes me think these are the consequences of the life he's lead so far. Dohyeok should not have gone thru that yes, but it is a direct result of what he's done and like Siwoo said he remains an arrogant prick in the face of it all. Also, Suha had it worse... way way worse.

Couldn't have agreed more. I kinda just skim these recent episodes. Dohyeok is not shown to have any redeeming qualities. These horrible experiences have not changed him for the better and I acknowledge not everyone handles trauma the same way. No one should experience such. Regardless, he's not a likeable character. Maybe the author thought having him go through all this would make readers sympathize with him, but that's not how that works. He has to grow as a person to become a more likeable character. Gotta learn from his past mistakes and reflect on how he has treated others

One of the things that annoys me about this story is that the author is so inconsistent with how this story should progress.is it a slice of life? A love triangle? A psychological love story? Then you have this reborn as a new person thing? Are we adding the supernatural thing here now? Where is this going?!
Ooof she's right tho. In the end he was still holding affection for him despite ALL the things Deokro has done and well lets see, he's sent his sister to her death, accused the Queen of killing her sister (Tho idk if the King knows this but if he does tf that alone should have given him a death sentence given the time period), and he has tortured and mayhaps killed a number of innocent women. So yeah that was real shitty of you to oh so self righteous king. This is some queen shit right here
