For some reason I read the side story just scrolling and not really following the plot. I think the side story is boring and discusses too much about this and that. I just want to see happy family interactions with their children.

Because of Ansel they discovered that MC is not a fallen noble, ML is readily investigated the said problem and the couple knows and she becomes complete that's what matters. It's a little bit off but it doesn't make the story sour to the point you want him dead for sure.
