i let this marinate when Peri and Theo's family were still basically strangers with a contract. now i re-read everything all over again and the story flows really nicely overtime, the angst always lingers around just like how it's always been in the Grand Duchy with their curse.

dolores or delulu whatever her name is fourth princess is an absolute lost cause, what the hell... i'm not even the one she's obsessed over but i already think that i'd rather die than to become her target at any chances. be happy with Peri now, Theo they both really deserve each other. i'm think Peri managed to open up and trust him more was bc Theo is a harder nut to crack compared to her, like he's a nuisance but he cares for her so much in his own way and even showed efforts to be more vocal for her. she's so kind, i hope she's happy with Theo forever too

what truly touched me the most is that iz NEVER force ruby to open up.. so he looks for signs by paying attention to ruby on his own and wait for her to say something. then he always make the most out of the very few things that he knows to make ruby happy.
like he really went out of his way to make sure ruby's friends aren't killed, it surely sounded irrelevant to outsiders bc those monsters are dangerous but iz really cherishes her feelings and happiness more than anything.
