I actually really liked this in the beginning, but I couldn't really continue regarding it with the same likeability as the gag of the super turbo useless principal and vice principal went on.
It was funny until it felt like cheap comedy, and it made me want to shove knives down their throats for their irresponsibility.
How was the academy successful previously?
To be honest, not the greatest fan of this story. Tried to like it because I love food/drink and hunter elements.
New elements of the system introduced feel a bit random to me, and I can't really get into the system/hunter world (like it somehow feels out of place).
I love coffee and the bit of self drying and roasting beans were kinda nice. One thing that annoys me sometimes is when some manhwas/mangas/manhuas include this piece of 'foreigner tries this mediocre thing that he has never tried in his life before and is flabbergasted by it' (like the part where he likes the coffee assisted by her skill is fine, but the subsequent instant coffee he purchases cannot possibly have her skill applied and there's even a pic of him drinking it.)
While maybe not the best in the world, I'm sure the average American has a somewhat decent understanding of coffee.
It could be a pacing and adaptation problem as I hear that there is a novel for this manhwa.
I think it just grinds my gears because I've worked as a barista and decently enjoy coffee, but don't let my debbie downer shit impede your enjoyment of this manhwa guys
Also I swear to god that I see a french press earlier then I see an espresso machine. Both are good but why does she switch between the two?
Oh! I think I know which one you're talking about.
That one is fun too, until she joins the guild and then it becomes about interpersonal relationships again :(
I think the only really excellent one at the moment for me is Housekeeper in a Dungeon.
Either the writing is good, it's suited for adaptation or the person doing the adaptation is just fucking excellent
Good, but nothing super amazing.
It was interesting seeing her train, and the earlier chapters were nice but there was too much politics for me and I got bored, so I dropped at chapter 66.
Wish they fleshed out the manipulative diction ability a bit more and Rihan's capabilities. So far just looks like some kinda wonder cure-all power.
Their personalities follow the tropes I like, strong female lead, gentle male lead, but feels a little flat.
Also that parent misunderstanding shit made me mad! Her life changed in the span of a day, (why did her mother not ask anything at all if they were in a loving relationship?)
Interesting story, Karen doesn't actually bother me and she actually isn't all fan service slop like some manhwas end up doing (aka instantly swooning over the mc for some reason or backstory)
The inconsistencies bother me. Seriously. At one point he says his memories of the adventures become hazy, which is solved by absorbing his previous pieces, then the problem never really appears again(?)
The purpose of absorbing the pieves just gives him extra backstory and he doesn't actually seem troubled at all by adventure info
Also he ends up with 3 million madness in the most recent part. This looks super imbalanced compared to his last amount of 16k ish, unless this is a typo.
Gold also seems to not have much value and it's barely seen use. The only time was the shadow orb thing and he's never used it even then for anything important. It's a key currency he gains as rewards so it bothers me that it shows up so often if it never gets use
Good story tho
i agree! there's a lot of information in this that seems to be forgotten at times
the author might be waiting to expand the story and then explain the madness currency (or at least i think so! it's the way the story seems to be headed since there's random events that have u wondering why they're happening and the author ties it together)
also, i'm 100% with u abt not being bothered with karen. i genuinely don't think she's that fan-servicy. i can see how she is from her design... but this definitely doesn't compare to other action stories. so don't let her design deter u from reading!
haha! it was just me ranting because I would be raising my eyebrows at some of these, but I'd finished the manhwa up to date.
Karen's not that bad, a few scenes are sorta fan service looks-wise but her actions don't actually go that way (i.e. squishing boobs on main chara or falling in love with him immediately in an inexplicable manner or because he saved her)

Why is the art for this manhwa so great
If there turns out to be shit plot I would soldier through just to stare at the pretty pictures
