In this case she is obviously obese and stated herself that she struggles to move her body around. It's best that she gets to a healthy BMI because she is at a higher risk for certain conditions and because she might get to a point where she may become unable to move/dress herself/take care of herself. That will screw her over as it will make weight loss much harder, it will make her helpless and overall it will prevent her from doing basic human things. She will be confined to a bed (which is just depressing - a prisoner in her own house.)
You can be bigger and be beautiful but beauty fades, we need to be health in order to live longer. You can be chubby and healthy but you can not be obese and healthy. There are many other factors so this is much more complicated than skinny = healthy and in reality being skinny isn't the same as being healthy. You can also be too skinny (underweight), that will also prevent you from being healthy.
