The joke of this story is that the predatory (sei) and low self esteem people (aya) do seem to think a "friends with benefits" relationship would give them what they want and at the end are hit with the brutal reality that they try so hard to ignore look how both just continue running from their growing problems and yes sei deserves a punch in her face at this point even if she decides to end it all! And Aya needs to hit her head hard as well! I don't like the male teacher at this point either something tells me he is a far more worse person than he let's on!

Well I still call Haruki and Mochida main characters but yeah you're right what hit them was hard but I hope they find something good and grow into better people. If there is one thing I liked about our MC is that she didn't want Haruki to go Sei's way and ended up succeding at least in this. As for Mochida well yeah find a new grown up teacher you don't need such an idiot!
I see why people are mad and saying stuff like "she should trust her fiancé..." yada yada but she still doesn't know that he genuinely loves her and knows who she is. I think she feels that this is happening because of her and any harm that happens to him is her own fault. Its no wonder she wants to protect when she still feels like she somewhat has to put a distance between them. So imagine seeing the man you love, who you don't know knows who you truly are, get hurt protecting you and might die, who you think is only doing this for the "real" Charlotte. Of course she feels a sense of responsibility ╥﹏╥

Haha like everyone else I also looked up pigeon chest and now I see a discussion of whether he dies or doesn't have a pigeon chest. I think he does but it's not to that extreme of an extent cuz when you look at his flashback as a kid his chest protrudes a little bit out he shouldn't have moobs then.
